SMAG is a German corporation and world leader in the design and manufacture of Peiner Grapples and Buckets. Our production line is comprised of mechanical motor grabs, hydraulic lifting equipment, electro-hydraulic motor grabs, single rope radio control grabs and a range of other kinds of specialized lifting machines.
To date, Peiner has supplied over 75,000 models throughout the world. Within the US marketplace, SMAG/Peiner has been represented by Peiner USA, Inc. Various industries such as Steel Mills, Waste to Energy, Scrap Handling, and many other material handling facilities including Bulk Transfer Facilities currently relying on our grabs and buckets to get their tasks done.
Peiner's design philosophy has always revolved around the idea of producing grabs that deal with the biggest volume rather than grab dead weight. Typically, the bucket and grab lifting ratio's meaning that 60 percent of material is dead weight versus 40 percent grab dead weight. This means moving more quantities of supplies faster. The wear and tear on the crane structure and its related parts is less. Through a combination of manufacturing with innovative design and high quality materials, the required weight ratio is attained.
Grab sizes would vary from 1 cubic yard or less to more than 50 cubic yards in order to meet the needs of the customer. Peiner USA Inc. additionally provides a complete spare parts facility and service facility for the models sold in the United States, as well as the addition of new grabs and buckets.
